The movie had an opportunity to raise some broader philosophical questions about the nature of evil. Does it coil deep within us or come at us with a retractable spear? Anyway, it passed on that. It's a movie that shouldn't have been made but somehow convinced the green light.

The actors are awful and plain pointless, the death scenes aren't even that good and this film becomes a teen-filled crap popcorn. But why the three stars? Well, the design on this film is pretty good and the special effects are pretty decent and somewhat inventive but the title does exactly as it says on the tin, the human actors are far from third best and shouldn't really be there, but I guess the film needs rubbish dialog from an average script.

..the battle scenes are brilliant and actually well done, I normally skip to the fight scenes. Watch this film for the fight scenes because really, that's what the film is about. The plot is awful but it's a good enough excuse to get the two big sci-fi monster together on the big screen and battle it out.

It's better than Freddy vs. Jason which isn't saying much, but it's the battle films that save this from being a flop. Did ok at the box office, so I guess they did something right. It's not badly directed and Paul W.

Anderson can handle it. Shame it had shit actors and script but like I said the battle scenes are brilliant and fun to watch.
