Avengers: Infinity War.
After Russo Brothers' marvelous work on Civil War; appreciated and acclaimed by both the audience and critics respectively, the question to handle multiple characters on a screen gets thrown out of the park without any doubt, which it delivers in here too. Having said that, it doesn't mean in any way that there aren't issues in here. The major one that often happens in the feature is that the subplots of each individual characters interferes the current moment that unfortunately undermines the gravitas of the scene. Another major conundrum is the pace of the movie, which is uneven in here and hence fails to project the anticipated sense of urgency. Anthony and Joe Russo; the director, focuses a lot upon action sequences which is finely detailed and brilliantly executed but verbal sparring between the characters what made the previous installments what they are, is the missing puzzle. On terms of performance, there isn't much to expect as it all gets lost into bits and pieces, although Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch and Zoe Saldana are convincingly good in it but the real game changer that steals the show is Josh Brolin, at the heart of it that despite of having ups and downs keeps it alive and pumping faster and harder than ever. Thanos is genuinely written with love and affection for it is the soul reason that controls the energy of the cinema (since the makers were aware that they don't have much to offer in terms of a fresh concept, all their weapons were directed to the screenplay and the details of it which they have depicted on high pitches through Thanos and his ideology) which there are few, that creates long gasping of horrors resulting onto tears. If there are so many issues in here, then the question raised upon is, why does it work? The answer is the characters. The characters that the audience have journeyed across through this 10 years, is what helps the makers punch the viewers to a cathartic release. The background score could have been a lot better along with vfx and editing. Avengers: Infinity War is an intense showdown of the pragmatic characters set in a "superhero" world that despite of being a mere episode or a part of a huge 7 layered cake, offers every bit of long last equitable taste.
