I get it. The special effects were amazing. I just didn't think it redeemed the film. I have seen this story a million times before. Hell, I was calling what was going to happen 45 minutes into the flick.
Not only that, but the film is extremely manipulative. Everything about this film is calculated to manipulate the viewer into sympathy from the Noble Savage Na'vi to the cartoonish villains. I like James Cameron, but I'll stick with the Abyss.
