Review of Autumn in New York (2000) by Mata H — 24 May 2008
Well.... It was sweet, but I don't want to watch it again. It left me sad, it left me unhappy and even though you could argue that it's courageous for a film to try to leave one sad and unhappy, it shouldn't be a goal they set out for.
You get that it's supposed to have some higher meaning that transcends over comon knowledge of life and love between two people, but this just overdoes it in some way. Perhaps the leading actor and actress wasn't proberly cast or perhaps there's something wrong with the screenplay or the script.
To sum up, this is a one-timer with potential if it had been made the right way...
