Review of Automata (2011) by Mirzel T — 06 Mar 2015

Automata took an interesting concept and watered it down to nothing more then a cliche sci-fi, smart robot flick. The story building happened in the beginning and then in the middle there was just a long span where things seemed to drag on until the entertaining ending.

There was a strong relationship built between the main character and the robots and it really shined through at the end. The only problem was, the relationships with the other characters was lacking and I felt out of the loop at times as to why one guy felt a certain way about someone.

At best this movie was very average and not near as interesting as other movies of its type like I Robot or Wall E or even Short Circuit.
