If you like Al Pacino because of the heavy roles he plays then don't bother with this movie. If you like Al Pacino for his versatility and amazing talent then give it a try. His character in this movie is emotionally and physically stressed-out and slightly insane (isn't everybody).
The way he deals with the kids and the way he addresses life in general is in a very loving albeit confusing way. It's Al at his most lovable. One of my favorites of his.
