I KNOW! I am seriously overdue for my Social Network review! I promise you I will deliver and watch the movie soon! I will watch it before 2012 comes, but until then I paid my attention to another film.

Baz Luhrmann previously did Moulin Rouge!, one of the best films and musicals of the decade. And this time, he tells the story about perhaps the most unforgiving terrain in the world and a place I'd love to visit one day, Australia.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman did pretty good in acting, but I'm afraid the best actor in the whole movie is Brandon Walters (or Waters) as Nullah. This young man shows real promise and according to me should have a spectacular career ahead of him.

The film's low points include the plot's predictabily, the script's failure to be original and the movie's overall length. But the only thing I can see being a real hassle is the movie's length. Every time I think the movie's about to end, it doesn't. Oh well. I suppose that was Luhrmann's choice.

The films' strong points are the marvelous art direction, costume design, music and cinematography. The film is ultimately gorgeous and gives the realism of the wilderness of Australia that only a select few get to chance to see.

Australia was a joy to watch.

FINAL VERDICT: 75%.
