Wow, just what do I say about this movie?

"August Underground" is a pseudo-snuff film. It is shot on miniDVD and doctored to look older, granier, and, well, more "real." The movie is about a murderer going from victim to victim. His friend records it all and makes comments along the way.

And that's it. There's no real story. It's more of an experiment in extreme cinema.

This is by, a mile, the sickest, most offensive movie that I've ever seen (until I saw the sequel, that is). The cinematography, acting, and effects make it look very real. If you walked in on your friend watching it, you would think it was a real snuff film.

I can't really recommend it. I mean, seriously, it's just something else. Only watch this if you want to see something that really has no limits. But I warn you, it will be offensive, it will be very unpleasant, and it might make you sick.

You might be thinking: If it's so unpleasant, than why did you give it a fresh rating?

Well, my friends, because it succeeded in what it set out to do: It disturbed me.
