Review of August: Osage County (2013) by Gustavo G — 15 Jul 2014

While the story is dark and everybody goes crazy and nothing ends up getting resolved, August: Osage County is still worth seeing thanks to its script by Tracy Letts (who also wrote the script for the Pulitzer Prize winning play), beautiful directing by John Wells (ER, The West Wing, Shameless, White Oleander) and its talented and amazing all-star cast headed by Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Cooper, Dermot Mulroney, Ewan McGregor, Juliette Lewis, Julianne Nicholson, Margo Martindale, Misty Upham and a special appearance by Sam Shepard.
