Review of Audition (2000) by Paul E — 22 Jul 2009

I watched this movie one night, alone, in pure darkness with a storm outside. The elements were in place. I wasn't sure at first, as the story goes slow, with good reason. I thought I may have rented a romance, but as this movies does so well, it shocks you, just when you thought you knew.

Then goes deeper, creepier, and darker. And no joke, literally exactly when it ended, the power went out. Just adding to horror I already felt. Truly a man's worst nightmare of meeting the woman you think is the one you always dreamed of, but you get someone you never imagined.
