After a husband and father in the television business loses his wife to illness, he turns to an office friend to hold an audition to find a perfect woman for him. Unfortunately, the girl he falls for is not what he bargained for.
A Korean horror movie that relies on suspense of uncertainty for ninety percent of its runtime. Indeed, forty minutes elapse before we get a sense that something's amiss (and the first sign is pretty alarming!).
But even when things start going terribly wrong, it isn't enough to justify such drawn out first and second acts, relying on fetishistic torture and surreal flashbback imagery.
It had a promising idea, but is executed sluggishly.
