This film is really tough to swallow threw, but it's a great horror film. The plot is about a man whom lost her wife, and his friend sets him up for an audition so the he can get a new girlfriend. Even before the audition begins he fells in love with a young and "sweet" girl. Right after the audition he starts to date her. So far, so good. His friend starts to get worried since all the contacts that she put on her transcript don't respond. Suddenly she disappears and starts to go and searches for her.

This is a slow-type of horror because once you watch the first-half of the film you really think that is just a simple romantic/drama film. The film is really well focused on this man re-searching for love and how is punished by lying to this woman, because he feels guilty that he has to fool all these women in the audition just to get a date with one of them. The second-half of the film is really disgusting and very hard to watch that is showing that a horror movie. I like that part of the film in which it fools thinking it is one thing, but then is the complete opposite in what you where thinking. I like the acting, especially the protagonists they deliver well their roles.

Now I didn't like some scenes in the movie. For example, in a scene in which the protagonist losses consciousness he gets all these "flashbacks" or whatever about her past of how she was abused and how she killed her torturer. Those scenes kind of fell out of logic to me, but it could imply that she told him this and ignored it since he did not want to be alone no longer.

I recommend this movie to people with a strong stomach, because this movie is really disgusting and tough to see. There are scenes in this movie that young people should not go and see because they would be scared and vomit due to the torture scenes. I give credit for the structure of the movie because it fools your mind, and gives us that nothing is what it seems to be. People whom love smart horror movies should go and see it, you won't be disappointed.

The film was directed by Takashi Miike, you may know him from his latest film 13 Assassins. As far as horror movies go, this is one of the best I have seen.
