Review of Audition (2000) by Mark M — 17 Oct 2014
Audition doesn't fall into the 'usual' Japanese horror category because it refrains from relying too much on traditional Japanese ghosts, and instead relies on an excruciating build-up of dread.
Aided with excellent acting by both leads, Ryo Ishibashi and Eihi Shiina, and Takashi Miike's signature form of filmmaking, Audition is one of the few must-see J-Horror movies.
