Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Jeff B — 30 May 2007
It's a nice dramatic film that doesn't rely too much on World War II and the jews until much later into the film. The two lead kids do a great job, it's fun to see their friendship blossom throughout the film.
Of course, it gets pretty dramatic toward the film, but it's a very good, powerful film. Of course it reminded me of Europa, Europa which I also saw for the first time earlier this summer, and I think Europa, Europa is a better film.
But both films are extremely well made and worth seeing.
