Review of Au Revoir les Enfants (1987) by Valerie M — 07 Aug 2010
Beautiful film. Wonderfully written, directed, shot, and acted. The two leads are fantastic, and their very honest, open performances give the film most of its emotional resonance and make the final result heartbreaking.
I like the slice of life feel to the film, rather than the typical three-act structure that is so often used. I'd definitely recommend it.
