Review of Au Hasard Balthazar (1966) by Dimitris R — 26 Jul 2007
This movie here has many aspects, in my humble opinion. It's not just a story. Not just a realistic view of life and definitely not depicting Balthazar's ugly life in comparison to modern societies, which are dominated by humans. It's mainly the girl's violent adulthood and the decision of keeping the same state of life, suffering the same pains and (at the end) keeping up with your faith against trying to change it, with similar results, which become impossible to overcome.
A bit tough, huh?
