Review of Au Hasard Balthazar (1966) by Smarty S — 28 Sep 2007
Hmm, a beautiful film, indeed. That much cannot be denied. It seems to encompass very intense sorrow as it relates to the harsh "reality" of the film's time and setting, the french countryside from what I can tell.
The film mainly concerns the life of a french girl and her donkey, Balthazar. This is a movie I will need to watch again sometime because I didn't catch all the details of the plot so much the first time around.
For now I will leave it with a 2 star rating, meaning I'll need to catch this again when I can better concentrate on the subtitles.
