Review of Au Hasard Balthazar (1966) by Y'ng Y — 08 Jan 2009
Although Balthazar the donkey is the centre of the film, and holds the story together, it is the vileness of humans which comes to the forefront. paints a bleak picture, and makes me despair. Effective even if I do not apply the usual Christian reading to the film.
