Spoof of disaster/b-sci-fi movies becomes obsessed with its source material and turns into exactly what it was trying to lampoon- a ridiculous, barley watchable creature flick. Although I can appreciate what they were trying to do the end product is truly a mess.
The purpose of a spoof is to make a bad movie or genre watchable and enjoyable and this just fails at both.
