Review of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! (1978) by Martin B — 20 Jul 2010
Low Budget is the word. The Tomatoes are mostly filmed backwards running down stairs and streets giving the impression that they attack.
They sound funny though.
And the jokes about disaster movies in general is working well all over.
The scenes with military and scientists cramped in a very small rooms has Tati-like qualities, and the theme song "puberty in love" is really lovelly horrible.
The special agent stands out, he parashutes himself down on top of a car and then keeps his parachute attached to himself throughout the whole movie - That's serious acting.
