Review of Atonement (2007) by Cole M — 19 May 2012
Atonement is a sad romantic film set during the raucous time of war. It is a story of two lovers separated eternally by a misunderstanding. It shows how a selfish jealousy of another can turn into a terrible disaster.
This film is packed with a lot of emotions from longing to lust, envy, anger, sadness to depression. Atonement has a fascinating story, fantastic cinematography and facile performances. The cast are great and Saoirse Ronan is phenomenal as a jealous 12 year old.
It has a lot of twists and turns that will hook you until the grandiose ending. It is truly remarkable and a must see film that will leave you thinking for the things you need to atone for.
