Review of Atonement (2007) by Daniele C — 12 Jun 2012
Touching, profound, but most of all with a great plot that keeps you interested for the whole lenght of the movie. The majestic camera work (reaching the top on the amazing sequence-shot of the soldiers by the shore) and the great interpretation of the actors (Keira Knightley gave the best performance of her career in my opinion!) add on to the general quality of the film, setting it to a higher level.
Honestly, my expectations for this movie were totally different -I wasn't even interested in watching it. But when I found myself in front of the tv with this movie on, I just couldn't move my head away from the screen. It got more and more interesting by time going and the story grew deeper, just as we were going deeper into the psyche of the characters.
