Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Ajgseries — 14 Dec 2017
Salt 2.0 (I’m just kidding). One of Charlize Theron’s greatest performances, she definitely looks badass. I loved the soundtrack during some of the action sequences. In my opinion, Charlize needs to work in her fight skills but she still looks badass. The range of colors is wonderful, that blue tone with gray transmits like a mystery to the movie. There is a scene filmed in a single shot that starts on some stairs and ends with a car chase. It was wonderful. First, I was like “expected plot-twist”, and then there’s a second plot-twist, AND A THIRD PLOT-TWIST… It was mind-blowing.
The screenplay was alright. The sequences of action complemented the fact that the film was kind of slow in the beginning. I found great how the movie is being told, showing scenes of the questioning and then going back to the flashbacks.
