Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Marco O — 08 Dec 2017
The movie is filled with what I consider to be pacing issues and non-relateable characters. Charlize Theron's character "Lorraine" is most of the time sticking out in the picture. By that, I mean visually. She is at most times the only blonde character wearing clothes that makes her stick out in the open, sort of removing the idea of her being a super secret agent. She wears all white when everybody in the scene wears all black, and so forth.
She's non relatable and the movies plot gives you a headache as you try to tag along. I am not saying that the movie is bad per-se. It is an enjoyable flick, but I wouldn't say that it is a memorable flick that I'll find myself ever watching again. There's nothing that draws me back. The white balance in the movie is always set to cold, the color correction seems off, the cinematography is sub-par at most. The acting is nothing special.
It feels as if the actors never really tried their best for this movie.
