Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Jess_Hill — 06 Aug 2017
A glorious spy movie that revels in expertly choreographed action sequences, sumptuous eighties styling, and costuming that is a delight to watch. Theron is superb, McEvoy is excellent, and the storyline is both compelling and every bit as twisted as you would expect from this genre.
The cinematography has moments of brilliance, with the fight sequences notable for the refreshing clarity of the visuals, and the soundtrack is an unexpected joy. Violent, sexy, and intriguing, this is a brilliant addition to the genre that is a thoroughly entertaining experience.
