Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Eliza A — 25 Jul 2017
The entire time I was watching this movie, I was thinking how much better Angelina Jolie would have done in this role. You could tell the fight scenes were staged as you could tell when the actors got in there position and were ready to go.
...they looked unnatural and staged. I felt like I was watching a fashion show from an era we are trying to forget. None of those clothes were what a spy should wear. Yes Charlize is beautiful and we could see that by all the strutting she did in the endless walking scenes.
Too much time was spent watching her smoke. I actually fell asleep at one point in the movie. The sex scenes, although a nice addition, distracted from the movie and m are no sense in the plot line unless it was awkwardly thrown in for sex scene sake.
Her accent was AWFUL. It would have been better if she was pretending to be an American who was really a secret British agent so we only had to listen to that awful accent at the end of the movie. Also.
.....spies don't cry...they know what their job entails... toughen up. Overall, I am glad I did not pay to see this movie. Was Angelina busy when the casting was done?
