Review of Atomic Blonde (2017) by Ben T — 14 Nov 2017
Atomic Blonde looks gorgeous, has some really good performances especially from both Charlize Theron and James McAvoy, it also boasts an absolutely phenomenal action sequence that takes place on a stair case; it's a brutal, tense and extremely entertaining set piece.
However the plot is convoluted, it's pacing is very slow and the over reliance on pop music gets old real fast. Not bad but nowhere near as great as it could have been. Still the 15 minute action sequence is so good the film is worth seeing.
