Review of Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001) by Loletinalexis — 05 Jun 2018
No one said it was a perfect movie, but everyone said it was garbage. Ladies and gentlemen, I will never be a professional critic, but if something is clear to me, it is that this is the film that shows that the specialized criticism is wrong.
Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a film that I met many years ago through my parents. Many years later, I have finally seen it again.
And I can never be so much in disagreement with the criticism with this movie.
This was the first film that made me pose, even as a child, that the world is not what it seems, that not everything is roses, colors and rainbows, but that there is evil, greed and lies in a rotten world; that the world is a scale of grays, and not only black and white.
He also taught me that cultures and traditions should never be lost, something that money and similar things make little by little come closer to absolute oblivion.
And most importantly: he taught me that love and friendship are all that is necessary.
Definitely, the most undervalued Disney movie of all time.
And I repeat: No one said it was a perfect movie, but everyone said it's garbage.
