Review of Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner (2002) by Phil W — 21 Jul 2007
An epic movie beautifully shot in some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet. The performances are played out with the kind of skill and humility that only non-professional actors seem to possess (see Shane Meadows/Ken Loach films).
This is a fascinating insight into how the Inuit have survived in the Arctic for thousands of years, and one musn't forget this way of life only changed irrevocably about 100 years ago!
