Review of At the Earth's Core (1976) by Jason J — 03 Jun 2008
I really enjoyed this film for the first 20 minutes, and then it turned to complete junk. After the initial excitement of Victorian ingenuity creating a giant super-drill to travel under the earth, the rest of the film is spent wandering around cheap sets with cheaper monsters, and savages who speak perfect English.
Caroline Munro looks fantastic as usual, but even she doesn't make this tiresome bore of a film worth the effort.
