Review of Astro Boy (2009) by Guy S — 16 Sep 2010
Although it follows a bit of a cliche story-line, that doesn't mean it lacks in heart. Astro is a warm and caring character who you can't help but feel sorry for as you accompany him on his sad journey to discover the reason for his creation.
Being a more sophisticated and technical version of Pinocchio, this movie does a good job of westernizing the Japanese hero. It's an adventurous tale that should be praised for its efforts.
