Review of Astral City: A Spiritual Journey (2010) by Lazara C — 14 Aug 2012
It was a very lovely film, a friend recommended me this film which was surprising that it was a Brazilian film. An adaptation of the books written by Chico Xavier a medium well known in Brazil. It seems like in Brazil there is some sort of movement Spiritism, this is why this film was made. Its a new age movie, but its all about being open and seen what resonates. They're some things that resonated with me, other things that didn't or just didn't agree with. Either way it was enjoyable, it made me sort of happy just seen how the realm of resting for the souls was like. It was truly remembering something that I already knew.
Another thing that stuck with me in this movie was when the lady that annoyed Andre Luiz. It sort of made me laugh, we all had that person that likes you but never leaves you alone. You try to be nice to them or just get with it, when he goes back to see the people who left him messages when he passes away only two people did. He sees the lady he helped every time she came at the end of his shift that annoyed him all the time, she actually prayed for him and sent him love when he passed away. The people he thought would care for him are the ones that moved on and continue with their lives. So its a great lesson to remember, while we still can.
