Review of Asteroid City (2023) by Silverado — 28 Jun 2023

Today this movie came to my attention, it was in our local theatre. I didn't want to know too much about it, I'd like to get surprized. The first thing I noticed is that the photography is not really sharp, only when Scarlett is really close up. Scenes filmed with dolly are very unclear.

As for the story, it could not intrigue me at all. I'd hoped there would me more science fiction to it, but no. That part stays very childish and leads to nowhere and nothing. Some scenes have their moment...but it all get lost in a fog of boring nonsense.
