Review of Asterix at the Olympic Games (2008) by Thomas M — 12 Feb 2008
It is not a catastrophy in a sense that it is at least entertaining and respectful in a way towards the comic book series, but it is certainly a disappointment as well. The production value is very uneven, the jokes are not particularly smart.
There are also some pacing issues, and two hours could easily have been squeezed into 90 funnier and more enjoyable minutes. Now, on the good side, Poelvoorde and Delon steal the show, and were frankly good at it.
