Review of Assassin's Creed (2016) by Julio S — 17 Jan 2017
It does a great job at bringing the games to life but for reasons that quickly make sense when you really think about them come with some big differences. Like the histrocial scenes are all in Spanish when the games had a built in translator programmed into the Animus (time machine if you will) and there is more focus on the present day plotline than the histrocial.
But it is made more for the fans of the games, which for me was a blast but in a guilty pleassure kind of way. But what helps this film is the knowledge they made alot of the action scenes without/ or at least with minimal CGI and makes it as a fan of the games a thrill to watch.
And the 3D when my cinema finally showed it (yeah I saw it twice (which despite what some think I don't do that often)) it was a nice touch as well.
