Review of Assassination of a High School President (2008) by Mohammed A — 12 Dec 2015
Is not good nor bad, is REGULAR. It has an interesting cast and a very weird but entertaining story-telling. I do ONLY recommend it if you love 7th art and all it's power within.
Plot: Bobby is a school's reporter who must find the one behind some stolen tests. The Principal Kirkpatrick will also do his job, but is Bobby and only Bobby...who should take the blame put on him shut down. How this will end? Check the film for that. At first you will think 'I know who is behind that problem', and also think the ending is predictable at some point, but at least it was not that easy for me and my mind. Stars for the crew and director's work, also to the screen-play worker.
Acting: Mischa as Francesca was ok, nothing new, more of the same roles she has done in the past. She still NEEDS skills of acting to make an improvement. Reece as Bobby was great, it almost nailed the role, but also need some skills to evolve (1st time I think I see him on a film, is new for me at least lol). Bruce Willis as the Principal was great also, kind of nailed the role too, but I have seen this role before, or at least this acting before. The rest of the cast was ok, as Luke/Marlon. Stars for the effort made.
Music: Best part of the film, the one who saved it all, same the camera angles by the crew behind it. Stars for their effort (same for the musicians).
To end this review, 3 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!
PS: I just rewatched it (today, years later, december 12, 2015) just to notice Robin Lord Taylor was in it LOL I knew I saw him even way before!
