Review of Assassination Nation (2018) by Steve H — 20 Sep 2018
The premise and the themes are solid, but it plays out like a preachy, student film. The movie mostly follows 4 teenage girls that you hope will get killed. It seems the only unselfish and semi-interesting character doesn't get much screen time or add to forwarding the plot.
As seen on the poster, the girls have highly advanced weapons skills and knowledge. The movie doesn't explain how this happens. But, it doesn't really matter because the movie abruptly and awkwardly ends as the action picks up.
The movie sums itself up with a reference to a Southpark joke, sucking out any air of originality or reason for watching it.
