Review of Ask the Dust (2006) by Karen S — 20 Apr 2008
It could have been better. At times it made me laugh. Yet it does have a deeper message for me about how we can die at any moment. Death doesn´t care about youth or wealth, so use your time right. Also, about feeling like an outsider in a discriminating society.
Yet the film didn´t bring enough depth into these themes for some people to notice. The behaviours of the characters may seem incomprehensible in our times, but in the time the film was set, I think it was quite normal.
