Review of As Good as It Gets (1997) by Eve C — 20 Feb 2012
Very interesting characters, although I couldn't completely resign myself to the fact that Jack Nicholson was involved in a love story with Helen Hunt. But having said that, the way it unfolded was nice and steady and I found myself going along for it eventually. The same can be said for Nicholson's entire character, which transforms in a way that's subtle yet powerful. Greg Kinnear is great as a gay person who befalls a terrible tragedy. And the whole thing is frought with one-liners and ideas that really make you think.
