Review of As Above, So Below (2014) by Gareth L — 05 Sep 2014
Found footage format remains annoying. Many 'ghost train' level sequences with daft and unexplained hooded figures and randoms walking into the back of certain frames. The jumps and bumps are delivered in line with the format and are executed well. What can be said is that it is genuinely claustrophobic, probably with no small influence from Neil Jordan's 'The Decent' but a very uncomfortable watch from that perspective.
The performances are creditable and engaging.
It is enjoyable rubbish.
