Review of As Above, So Below (2014) by Al M — 17 Sep 2014
Great horror movie that blended a Tomb raider type plot with creepy horror. The movie takes place in the Paris Catacombs, which are pretty hair raising on a normal visit. The lead, a Tombraider type character with blinders on to get the Philosophers stone (stone that will change metal to gold), puts her goal in front of everything else.
They dive deep into the catacombs in search of the stone, and creepy adventures ensue! The story had elements of Dante's Inferno and Indiana Jones. It really got into my head, leaving puzzling twists and turns.
There were parts of the movie that were a bit difficult to make the leap, but overall it was an incredibly entertaining and spooky film. Sounds were incredible, must see in theater with great sound system.
This movie will be a cult classic.
