Review of As Above, So Below (2014) by Jerry E — 20 Nov 2014
So I went in to this movie thinking "man, this movie looks cheesy, this is probably going to be bad", and I was happily proven wrong. the movie reminded me of an old fashioned treasure hunt, a Goonies if you will.
the premise was exciting, the "philosophers stone" story, was pretty damn cool, and the acting was on par with a movie from this genre. the movie overall was good, and exciting, though I have to say, the ending started to get a little cheesy, but that is\was to be expected when they combined Horror, and treasure hunter.
I dunno if it was the fact I put such low standards on it to begin with, or if it truly was a good, fun movie, but either way, I was more than satisfied.
