Review of As Above, So Below (2014) by Fb29 — 05 Feb 2015
This is a very good movie. The lead female character is great. The supporting cast is very strong, particularly the French crew.
I thought it was really scary.
The only reason I only gave it 8/10 is because [MINOR SPOILER] there's a part where they translate an ancient bit of text, and all the verses rhyme in English. That made zero sense and I couldn't concentrate on the movie for a while after that happened. Then they repeat that bit a lot which just reminds me how little sense it makes for a dead language to translate into rhyming English. If not for that, this would be 10/10.
