Review of Art School Confidential (2006) by Gareth L — 26 Dec 2008
Another independent movie where everything is nerdy and awkward and we have a token class reject who is welcomed by a guy who deams it neccesscary to come up with kooky labels for everybody in the class and list them off for our viewing pleasure.
Oh look there's the preppy suck up and not forgetting the snobby know it all and of course the milk maidens...oh wait I got confused.
I just get sick of these movies which follow a plot and feel like they need to deviate from it every so often to show that the director can make witty observations of popular art room stereotypes.
I have to say I didn't personally like it but at least it's trying so it gets points for effort. Plus in the closing scenes it really did pick up steam.
