Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Jennifer H — 03 Jul 2009
So funny yet, so creepy. I can't say whether this movie is a horror film or a comedy. It's got the secret murder mystery which makes me curl up into a ball. We don't see a lot of this "Jonathan" guy in other movies but we should have.
I was scared to death of that guy. But it's the horror that makes the characters do crazy things which causes the laughter in the movie. I love Cary Grant's faces of awe and confusion. Those never get old.
The first movie I ever saw with Cary Grant. I owe it my life.
