Review of Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) by Petros T — 31 Dec 2010
"Arsenic And Old Lace" is partly hilarious, partly adorable, partly mesmerising, partly horrifying and completely enjoyable. Grant, Hull and Adair give excellent performances while the atmosphere and the direction are purely theatrical as Capra and the Epsteins protect and respect the characteristics of Kesselring's original theatrical play.
A classic.
