Turgid fi with not much sci, a kind of rehash of some of Close Encounters but without the concept of entertainment. The one star goes to the beauty of the aliens writing which is Zen like in its ability to say its entire concept all at one in presence.
Otherwise this viewer found himself with pins & needles of numbness & boredom from the sheer lack of any emotional engagement conveyed to the viewer, though there was plenty of attempted manipulative shortcutting by including a dying dead child to supposedly get you to empathise.
