Review of Arrival (2016) by Jacob G — 08 Dec 2017
This movie contained half written points almost from start to finish. She learned their language- okay, fine. But no one else did, despite her sharing everything with the brightest minds on the planet.
She also explained her ability to see through time as being something gained from learning their language, yet again, she was the only one who could do it despite all 12 pieces being shared with the brightest minds.
.. and she could only see to the point of her having a baby. The aliens themselves existed outside of linear time yet the one that died was never seen beyond that linear point in time. And the aliens simply left without a goodbye once the planet decided not to destroy them.
All in all, a very boring movie.
