What humanity needs is to strive for a common goal. I love science fiction because it can paint somewhat realistic scenarios like ARRIVAL, in which our planet is saved by extraterrestrial intervention.
But more real than our first alien contact is the way ARRIVAL depicts a planet divided by invisible borders and nations unwilling to cooperate. God I love this movie.
