Review of Arrival (2016) by Arthur P — 23 Feb 2017
It bothers me to think that we are dealing with aliens that look like they came from our oceans, and that they must have evolved intelligence that is light years ahead in science and technology, including time travel and mindreading telepathy.
Emotional child memory flashbacks seem to become potholes in the plot, breaking away from the fearful giant alien encounters, as if there is a jigsaw puzzlelike connection between the human child's love of marine life and the advanced mysterious marinelike alien species that seem untouchable for fear of infectious diseases.
